Rosa damascena

Our Rose Otto essential oil is steam-distilled from Rosa damascena blossoms grown in the Valley of the Roses in Central Bulgaria. One of the most precious floral oils in the world, Rose Otto is produced in limited quantities each year and has been used in aromatherapy, skincare, and ceremonial anointing for centuries.

This oil has been pre-diluted in golden Jojoba oil, making it ready to use for direct application to the skin. The aroma is sweet and full-bodied—fresh, warm, and floral, with subtle notes of citrus and soft green earth. Often referred to as “the oil of love,” Rose has long been associated with heart-centered rituals and symbolic expressions of compassion, connection, and beauty.*

It takes roughly 40,000 hand-harvested rose blossoms to produce just one ounce of Rose Otto—an extraordinary act of transformation that’s captured in each drop. We’ve blended it with jojoba oil to make this exquisite scent more accessible for daily use and ritual care.

• Odor: fresh, warm, deeply floral and rich with hints of soft citrus zest, faint pepper and earthy green body notes and a muted waxy undertone; extremely complex, sweet and full-bodied
• Blends Well With: citrus oils such as Bergamot and Lemon; florals such as Lavender, Ylang-ylang, and Orange Blossom; also Patchouli, Black Pepper, Frankincense, Vanilla, and Clary Sage
